Mark Moses image

Mark Moses
Founder & General Manager

Our fearless leader lives and breathes Indian above all other things automotive. In fact, Mark may very well be the most knowledgeable and respected Indian motorcycle expert in North America. An avid rider and well-known automotive service guru, Mark was Owner & General Manager of Indian Motorcycle Toledo until 2003. His enduring Indian love affair led him to a position at the "new" Indian Motorcycle Company at Kings Mountain before opening Indian Motorcycle Charlotte. His quick mind and contagious passion for excellence inspires the culture at Indian Motorcycle Charlotte. Mark is the reason America's First Indian Dealer has been a Top 100 Dealer every year since 2010 (when we were first eligible) and the most successful Indian motorcycle dealer on the planet.

Will Wagoner image

Will Wagoner
Shop Forman

A very talented technician--Will Wagoner--is originally from Mansfield, Ohio, pretty close to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Circuit. He has always been fascinated by mechanical things. After VOC school where he trained in automotive repair, Will joined the U.S. Air Force for 4 years, working as a technician. His love of motorcycles led him to study at the highly respected Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Orlando, where he finished first in his class. He moved to North Carolina in 2006 and we are thrilled to have him as part our Indian team. Along the way, he acquired various motorcycles and is an avid rider. Will is a great asset for Indian Motorcycle Charlotte and stands ready to meet any of your American V-Twin service needs.

Larry Smart image

Larry Smart
Parts Specialist

Larry Smart, our intrepid Parts Specialist, knows how to find exactly what you’re looking for, and if we don't happen to have it in stock, he can usually get it in 48 hours or less. Larry’s been a motorcycle rider for over twenty years, but there’s even more to his interesting background. He was a UPS driver for 34 years, covering all of Gaston County, which includes Lowell. He’s familiar face to us since he’s been delivering parts, accessories and apparel packages to Indian Motorcycle Charlotte since we opened back in 2008. Now that he retired from UPS, he was looking for something with a little less driving and we’re thrilled to have him here. If you need something, you can count on Larry to deliver.

Holly Velthuysen image

Holly Velthuysen
Retail Specialist

Our retail specialist Holly always seems to have a smile on her face. We think it’s because she really enjoys the customers at Indian Motorcycle Charlotte. Way back in 2008, her boyfriend acquired a 2009 Chief Vintage in Willow Green/Ivory Cream from us and Holly began acquiring genuine Indian apparel. We knew her as a good customer for several years. Today she’s one the other side of the counter, helping customers find the apparel and gear they want.

Originally from Detroit and born into a family of firefighters, she worked in accounting for about a decade before becoming an executive sales assistant for a manufacturers’ rep group. Mark knew her background, so when an opportunity arose, our fearless leader gave her a call and the rest, as they say, is history. Stop in and say “hey” whenever you’re in the neighborhood.

Joe Hollmer image

Joe Hollmer

A skilled technician, Joe has a great sense of humor and a passion for Indian Motorcycles. He’s been an active motorcycle rider for a quarter-century and attended our Grand Opening back in October 2008. Joe bought one of the very first Indian Chiefs--a Kings Mountain machine with Serial #262. Today he owns two additional Indian Chiefs and chances are he’ll be adding to that collection.

Joe’s spent a lot of time here, so it was only natural that when he “retired” from his job as a precision machinist after 25+ years, he would gravitate towards something he loved even more---Indian Motorcycles. You’ll find Joe here, working (and smiling) in the service area five days a week. Stop in and say “hi”.

Brian Phillips image

Brian Phillips
Motorcycle Specialist

It’s not often you meet a guy like Brian. Customers recognize that he’s a thoughtful and passionate Indian aficionado, but there’s a lot more. He spent nearly eight years in the US Army, first in Explosive Ordnance Disposal which requires nerves of steel and about five years as Helicopter Crew Chief. One tour of duty in Afghanistan and a few other undisclosed places.

Brian comes from a military family and grew up around motorcycles. He rode dirt bikes starting in his early teens and moved on to cruisers by the time he turned 19. He’s always loved Indian Motorcycles so his passion led him here to Indian Motorcycle Charlotte. We welcomed him with open arms and today you’ll find him on the showroom floor, helping customers make purchase decisions. Stop in and visit with him soon.
